ABOUT THE PROJECT
The objective of the proposed research is to analyze the development paths of Central Eatern European cities disposing of regional organizing functions, taking into consideration the presence and transformation of the factors constituting the basis of the stock of territorial capital and the innovative milieu, as well as positioning Hungarian regional centers within the framework of the Central Eastern European urban network.
The significance of our research lies in the fact that we desire to establish a complex analytical framework for the examination of territorial capital and the innovative milieu which, besides its methodological novelty, enables the reproduction of the research as well as its extension in space, time and scope. The outcome of the research will be the presentation of a typology of the development models of domestic and Central Eastern European cities.

The point of origin of our research is the postulate according to which territorial capital can be described as a constellation of socio-economic resources and immaterial capital goods which is unique and is characterized by heterogeneous specifics and emphases in the case of each territorial unit.
On the basis of the above, our hypothesis is that territorial capital can be interpreted in the case of cities through the review and systematization of its components and development models of Central Eastern European cities can be interpreted through the observation of the various emphases and the temporal evolution of these components. Cél a Kelet-Közép-Európa térség 100 ezer főnél nagyobb városainak bemutatása, azok helyzetének, felszereltségének, gazdasági jellemzőinek rövid ismertetője, egyben azon elemek kiemelésével, amelyek az innovációt hordozzák, a területi tőke alakulását a jövőben befolyásolják.
